Founder’s Vision

The vision of John Burgess, founder of IPA and all its affiliated companies, was to create the world’s premier management consulting company serving the needs of small and medium-size businesses. Mr. Burgess believes that every business owner should have the capability of managing his business in a manner that maximizes its potential as it relates to each individual’s goals and objectives.

Mr. Burgess believes that each client should be competitive with his peer group by focusing on the basic tenets of business which are producing profitable sales, controlling the cost of goods sold, controlling overhead expenses, and controlling overall costs by budgeting percentages rather than dollars, and treating profit as the first item of expense rather than the last. All too often a business owner will settle for a profit that is left over after all the other expenses have been paid, rather than planning for a mandatory minimum level of profitability for the company.

It is IPA’s founder’s vision that IPA will provide to the owners of small and medium-size businesses the widest spectrum of quality consulting services to the business community of any management consulting company in the world serving the entrepreneurial marketplace. IPA shows business owners how to develop strategic plans for growing their businesses, establish benchmarks for performance, develop methods, systems and controls to hold managers accountable, and develop a financial and operational reporting system that allows business owners to track all their critical numbers and their variances from month to month, quarter to quarter, and year to year.

IPA’s focus is to give every client the ability to say that the business works for him rather than he works for the business. IPA’s goal is to give every client the means by which he can control his own destiny and enjoy the fruits of his labors.
